Portraiture

One of my biggest issues when starting out with photography was the idea of portraiture. There was something almost too personal when it came to having your subject look to you for direction versus sports journalism, which emphasizes more movement and an almost “not seen, not heard” mentality. However, after trying my hand at it with my friends and peers this spring, the ability to visualize and construct how a photo looks is the greatest tool in this art form. A special thank you to my friends for trusting me to deliver them senior portraits as graduation looms around the corner.

Having my friends as my subjects makes this job all the more sweeter, and I cannot express my gratitude for them enough!

Happy grad season, we did it!
